¿Estás loco por el fútbol? Are you crazy about soccer? Well, Camilo certainly has been known to be a little “loco” when it comes to the high-speed modern-day battles to get a ball into an opponent's goal, including when Argentina beat France in the 2022 World Cup. In
2004, he created a sanctuary for soccer fans, players, and their supporters to share experiences in conversation and while watching live games. He aptly named it Locos por el Futbol where he spent his nights working until graduating from law school in 2011 as an attorney when he sold the business to pursue advising jobs.
Although a proud Colombian, he claims to have grown roots in the Lowcountry of South Carolina and considers himself a local since 2017. On Hilton Head Island and in the surrounding communities, Camilo has been working as an educator, a Director of Development and Marketing, and as an advocate in the community to bridge communication and help communities with projects in person, print, and social media.
Camilo shared,“We live in a much smaller world than that of my forefathers. It is more important than ever that we cross socio-cultural lines and help the next generation to gain quality experiences and skills in communication. I believe in many cases that communication is the key to future successes.” Camilo enjoys spending his free time playing indoor soccer, watching games, and discussing the future. You could even say he is loco for Goal!
Goal Soccer Club and Academy welcomed Camilo to their team in March of 2023.
